Adoption applications are required for all of our available dogs. We do have a lengthy adoption
process that all potential adopters must go through, with the final decision being made by the
Board of Directors.. These dogs have already gone through some trauma by finding themselves
dumped in an overcrowded kill shelter, abandoned by their owners, etc., and we want to make
sure their next home is their permanent home. Each dog has it's own personality and
temperament and we want to make sure the dog is a perfect "fit" for your household. All dogs
are spayed/neutered before leaving the rescue and if they are found to be heartworm positive
the treatment and recovery takes about 30 days. All references are checked including the vet
reference. We do have an adoption donation of $175.00 to $250.00 per dog (see "Adoption
fees"). This helps offset the cost of food, shelter, veterinary care, surgeries, etc.
