Delivery of the wood and digging those darned post holes
Now we can finally see where all of our
money is going! We now have all of the
wood for the posts, trusses and framing
of the building. Next thing to order is the
metal for the roof and the exterior walls.
Well, we all thought the clearing of the trees was the worst thing we'd had to do so
far..................then we started digging the post holes. There is nothing quite like being
tossed around by a "2 man" gas powered auger that is nearly 6' tall above ground, and
having to wrestle the thing down 48"....with no reverse switch! The first day John, Shirley
and I tried to handle the crazy thing. HA!! It's a good thing no one was videoing THAT
event............then again we might have picked up an extra $10,000.00 for the building fund
by winning "America's Funniest Home Videos!"

Fortunately John has a strong young nephew that he was able to convince to come out
and help us wrestle the auger. Aaron recruited another friend and they had almost has
much fun as we did with that thing! Once they got going though, it only took them about 2
hours to drill out the holes we needed done. A huge THANK YOU to Aaron and Dave for
getting this monster part of the job done!
next we set the posts
