Shayna
Shayna is a 5 year old Malamute mix looking for a good home that has Mal
experience and is not put off by a little girl who likes to push the boundaries.
For those of you who are long time visitors.............yes.....this is the same
Shayna. The Shayna born here at Golden Years back in July 2002. She was
the only surviving puppy and she was hand raised by Shirley's daughter. Her
1st home lasted about a year and she came back. When we placed her the
second time things seemed to be going very well. Then we didn't hear from
the folks again. Imagine our shock a couple of years later when somebody we
didn't even know contacted us and asked us to come and get her! Turns out
Shayna had been bounced around for quite awhile. Shayna has turned into a
bit of a stinker but we think it's more of a defense situation. Humans have
failed her so many times that she gets grumbly growly and makes the
humans nervous so she gets dumped before she gets attached. Sounds like
some poor human kids. She is doing really well at her foster home but she
needs a home of her very own.

Shayna is a big ball of energy, however she has a malformed hip socket
which means she gets limpy after a rough play session or too long of a walk.
Best situation for her is as the only pet that is taught fairly but firmly she is
not the boss and no matter how big of a stinker she tries to be she still can't
be the alpha, ever. She is a lover and has a lot to say (we don't believe half of
what she says.....she is not starving!). Could this little girl be the Mal for you?
