Sugar

Sugar is a very big 9 year old girl in need of a forever home. She's been in the rescue system since
April 2007 and we finally had a spot open so we could take her in. Sugar was an owner surrender
and she was found to be heartworm positive and had pyometria (infection of the uterus). She was
treated for the infection, spayed and treated for the heartworms. She is now in good health and
current on all of her shots. (Yes her head comes to Shirley's waist! What a ham this girl is). Her big
ears tend to flop over at the tips when she is relaxed and one has been shredded pretty good at
some point but they look so cute and give her face character. Even at her age she loves to do
zoomies around the play yard when someone is there with her.

Sugar has been an outside dog for most of her time in rescue with the exception of the 3 weeks
recovering from treatments. She would need a little training to go outside consistently for potty
times. She is dog aggressive and she thinks cats are snack food so she'd have to be the only pet
in the household and she is protective of her food (we're working on that). Sugar loves people and
older kids and likes to lean on you for attention. Due to her size (130 lbs and 28" at withers and is
very big boned) her new home should not have any children under age 11 just to be safe.

This girl is a sweetheart with a big heart and deserves to spend the rest of her Golden Years in a
nice "retirement" home where she can get the love and attention she so deserves. Is Sugar the girl
