Blaze
Blaze, you came to us from a happy home and had just settled in comfortably with us, when it
was time for you to go. You whipped us into shape by making us walk for miles, kept us laughing
and filled our house with happiness. You were always so good natured, always ready to go for a
car ride, always ready for a walk, always ready to get your feet wet in the lake, always ready for a
scratch behind the ears. You never refused to do anything we asked. You had obviously been in
harness before and gave us hope that you would pull a sled with children in it, for us.

You were so pretty. I had never seen a Mal as cute as you. I have seen Mals that were serene,
dignified, worried, somber or serious, but never with a quirky mischievous look like yours. You
would hold out your little ears at that silly angle and just throw us into gales of laughter. You knew
when you were cute and got away with a lot because of it.

You quickly rose to General in the MRM as administrator of the day to day operations, looked
after promotions, gave encouragement and suggestions to the troops and were a respected
member of the organization.

You were struck down so quickly, so unexpectedly. One day you were healthy, the next day you
were sick unto death. I didn't want you to suffer anymore.

Good bye Blaze. You are young, healthy and happy over the Rainbow Bridge. Wear your silver
harness with pride when you are out making those Northern Lights.

Love, Holly & George
