Kodi was special from the first day we saw him. He was so big and fluffy and oh so lovable! In time
we trained him to pull our dog sled and he did it well. He quickly learned all of the commands and loved to run. Kodi was such a joy to be around. He went everywhere with us, and enjoyed being a part of the family. He was loved by all who met him. One day he came up limping, holding his front paw as if it hurt and he was asking us to make it better. We were ready to pay any amount to make our beloved Kodi well again. After some tests the vet called us in and told us Kody has cancer, it was spreading and Kodi was in pain. The vet was crying too because he loved Kodi and he knew the prognosis was not good. We were devastated that day. This couldn't be happening to our Kodi. He was too young to be in so much pain, too young to die. That day was September 24, 1999 and we knew we had to let Kodi be free of pain, so he was helped over to the Rainbow Bridge. Kodi was now running free from his pain and waiting for us, for the time we would be a family together again. That was the day we will always remember in our hearts.....that we lost "The World's Greatest Malamute" and our very best friend. Wear your silver harness with pride dear Kodi.
