Storm

When Storm came to us via Golden Years, she was only 7 months old and very very shy. This
poor girl didn't know what to do with a toy, and she was scared of people in general. We already had Ernie (a male) and he welcomed her into our home. With a lot of patience and love, Storm finally learned how to trust people again. In time she even learned to pull a sled with Ernie. Last summer (2003) Storm passed her Therapy Dog Certification and began visiting nursing homes. Quite amazing given how scared she was as a young pup. The red tag on her collar let folks know she was a Therapy Dog.
Sadly in the early fall of 2003 we learned Storm had advanced chronic renal failure. She fought a
courageous battle, but the disease always wins in the end. We helped her to the Rainbow Bridge on February 12, 2004.
Storm was only 3 years old when we lost her, but she packed a lot of love into that short time
and touched many people along the way. She will always be remembered for her for her big Malamute smile. Peace be with you Storm, until we meet again.
Love, Phillip, Heather & Ernie
