Tundra was a beautiful little girl when we picked her out in 1998. She was Daddys' "Little
Darlin" and MaMas' "Sweet Pea". She was to be a playmate to her big brother Kodiak, born two years before. They fell in love with each other and were instant Soul Mates. Everyone loved Tundra, she was such a special little girl. She had it all and was one of a kind. Kodi had to go to Rainbow Bridge at an early age in 1999. Our Little girl was lost, as were we. She was always there for us to fall on in sad times. When we had to adopt out her other brother, Nacoma, in 2004, she was there for us again, to fall on. Now in April 2007, during our vet checkup, we found out our little girl was full of cancer and there was not a cure. They said she had just a few weeks left to live. Our little girl was going to die and we could not save her. She had no clue that she was even sick and we weren't going to tell her. We wanted more time with her, we owed her that, so we opted for Tundra to be given a shot of chemo and a couple hits of radiation to try and buy a little more time. It worked to slow the cancer down and she got 3 ½ more months to spend with us. Fun, loving times and lots of quality time. Tundra finally quit eating, which was the sign we were told to watch for. We could see it in her eyes that she was getting tired, but was holding on just for us. We told her it was OK to let go and walked into the vet office for the last time. We had to let our dear little girl go to the Rainbow Bridge to again meet her brothers to play free of the bad disease that she couldn't shed.
There is so much sadness and emptiness in our hearts. We miss her so much and promised
her that we will definitely meet again and be the family we enjoyed for so many years.
Tundra, thanks for the memories. We love you. You are forever in our hearts.
